. . . and Agatha just remembered that her castle is full of the most dangerous and deranged Sparks in all of Europa, since it had been a lethal prison complex up until this point.

Yay! Not only is female!minion not dead, but she actually got a name! Now here's hoping she survives the trip to the cistern and back.

Agatha, remember when you said you could "work with" this? Don't let up now, girl.

Glowing candy canes and kiddies with arc reactors in their chests? I'm sold.

Posted by: marycatelli ([info]marycatelli)
Posted at: July 6th, 2009 02:49 am (UTC)

Ah, but are the kiddies going to show up in the flesh?

Spinning Queen Victoria

And if they do, whose flesh was it originally?

I love the one in the lower right corner, hugging his/her candy cane with glee!

I also like the "Ho" raised to the third power on the Santa bag. Or is that a hydrogen trioxide symbol?

Hawk

...but shouldn't it be (HO)^3? HO^ would technically be H-O-O-O no?

So can anyone think of a half coherent reason why she would want those parts?

Shut down the Baron's castle-killing machines?

Posted by: Shadow/Brooke ([info]kengr)

1. She may want to be able to shut down the Castle herself in a worst case scenario.
2. It's hard to design a defense against something if you don't know how it works.

Maybe she's planning on using the interdimensional properties to try to get her pa and Uncle back?

genius

they're PARTS. They can be put to other purposes. And a proper madgirl can NEVER have too many parts.

My best guess is to maybe use the device against De Kestle if it gets out of control -- or if some part of it gets out of control (the Kitchen, say). Maybe she can fine-tune it to take out only a single room instead of the whole place, especially if Gil helps.

Or maybe she's hoping she can turn it into something she can use against the Other in her head, since the device is made to "blow up" an artificial personality...

Oh Noez!!!

I see something like this and think, "Yeah, that's Phil's sense of humor."

Then I remember that Kaja is involved in the writing and think, "But she seemed so nice..."

Sometimes I take this comic far too seriously but jokes like THIS bring me back to wonderful reality.

Is it bad that the Christmas scene gives me The Warm Fuzzies(tm)?

It depends on how many RADs you are getting from the children and/or the candy canes....

"Don't worry. I... have my reasons." -- low voice, with a hesitation. It does sound like a secret that she's nervous about. Dealing with the Other (in some way) seems a very plausible suggestion.

Typographical note: Should "I'm" be italicized in panel 7?

Hmmm, first town size hedge mazes, now children 'test' groups.
I think I like this guy...

I'd want him on my HR Staff personally. He's probably really good at ensuring that only truly loyal minions get hired. The trick, of course, is making sure that the minions were loyal to me and not him.

Hmm...it appears that there is a hierarchy when it comes to Sparks and minions. While it seems any Spark can take on a non-Spark as a minion, one must be a Spark of a higher magnitude in order to recruit another Spark (of lesser ability) as a minion. The wider the gap, the more likely they will remain loyal, I believe.

This was one of the best comics in a long, long time.

If the warm fuzzies are actually from the radiated Christmas, that is fine with me.
