MAD SOCIAL SCIENTIST. <3 <3 <3
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, STUDIO FOGLIO. WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?
Would it be greedy of me to ask for a mad Library and Information Scientist as well? Or maybe a mad sociolinguist?

She'll be along. She still getting her bearings. You can't just rush off when there're other people around. It's kinda rude. (Even moreso in her own house, since she's essentially the hostess.)

I have always thought that psychology and sociology would be much more advanced if it weren't for those pesky "ethics" thingys. No one cares what you do to a hydrogen atom, but start one little war to study human behavior in stressful circumstances and those IRBs are all over you.

The solution, as with most problems, is proper planning: use the IRB as test subjects for mind control experiments first. After they are controlled, get approval for the war.
It was easier under the last presidency, of course....

Later... the Mad Social Scientist was released back into the wild and eventual found an a "Lab Partner" and eventually had "Assistants"
A lasting foundation to his memory can be found here...

I grew up around the corner from here. If you are not familar with the house you should take some time and read up on it.

Bah, that guy! Typical mad scientist, instead of doing with the data he could gather from the wild, he insists on an elaborate we-belong-dead construction. I mean, has he looked at *where he's been*? Hello? Giant homicidal castle with a bunch of people trapped inside, and the Baron has all the cheese?

Am I the only one who (reads? hears? parses? not sure what the right word here is?) the mad social scientist as having a voice very similar to Dr. Strangelove?

I will note that there was a bit of previous speculation on the existence of Social Science Sparks, for the curious.
I will also note that I do IT support for a pack of Mad Social Scientists....

I just love the Casual phasing in the last panel. XD
Also, hurray for the mad social scientist! Any project that uses a thousand orphans sounds interesting enough for me!
