Well, at least I was partly right. Zeetha's very first offering was a battle bikini... and poor Agatha looks mortified by the idea. However, it looks like she will be wearing something practical after all.
So,rule of funny AND moment of awesome (hopefully Friday) all at once.
Also, notice the mimmoth armor in the forth panel. Some Old Heterodyne either liked war gaming, or once fought off an army of mice people.

According to book 2, the Heterodynes were indirectly responsible for Mimmoths, so it could be a relic from the days when Fulano Heterodyne decided to send them into battle as saboteurs or something...

...right, we need more sparky powered armor in here!
Those gigantic pauldrons could conceivably also be a shoutout to Warhammer 40K's Space Marines, but they could also just be really clunky heavy armor.
And I just realized that with the view of her hair cut off, Agatha makes for a cute guy.

Ahem, catalog of Shout Outs as follows.
Panel 3: Xena, Warrior Princess “Does this make my chest look big?”
Panel 4: Warhammer 40K, looks more like Chaos Marine armor than anything.
Panel 5 is Samus from Metroid and Evil Lyn from HeMan and the Masters of The Universe, which might make the armor in Panel 2 from Teela.
And the armor that Agatha is wearing is the armor of Godric Gryphondor, one of the founders of Hogwarts.

My son is *so* going to lose it when he sees panel 5...
Zeetha has dimples!!! How long until the experiments are old enough for Phil and Kaja to return to XXXenophile? :-)
The helmet between the two of them in panel 2 reminds me of something, perhaps from Buck Godot? And I like the trilobite on the peen of the hammer-head helm in panel 6.

Okay, first, in panel 3 in the clear display tube, while it might be a simple deep-sea diving outfit, I think it may be a shout-out to the Big Daddy from the BioShock series.
Here we get to see the differences in the fashion sense of Zeetha and Agatha. Agatha, as one would expect, likes outfits that maintain her modesty while making her look like a force to be reckoned with. Zeetha, on the other hand, while not passing on some that are less revealing, tends to lean toward those that help showcase her physical assets. I believe most of the males here (and some of the females as well) appreciate that! =^_^=

Shout-outs bedamned. Three cheers for the fan service! It's about time Agatha spent some time in her skivvies. And I second the anticipation for more Xxxenophile, especially involving our protagonists. Bring on the Skifanderian High Holy Days (cha, cha, cha!)

Exposition, Victorian underwear worn by buxom women, and loads of shout-outs. The Foglios have outdone themselves.
Having read a fair bit of Pratchett of late, I now see Wee Mad Arthur or Buggy Swires riding a mimmoth in that armor.

Not Buggy, he's an aeronaught but Wee Mad Arthur would find it just the ticket for patrolling Ankh-Morpork on the night shift. Come to think of it, Rob Anybody might want one, as well.
