Expressions can be so unclear...

Boris looks very attentive in that second panel. I wonder what's going through that clever mind with perfect recall?

Also, panel seven, I don't know, admittedly he's a parent; but it doesn't ring true for me that the Baron would be so *melodramatic*. He's more the aloof/stiff upper lip type.

OH! That's RIGHT. Perfect recall...

So, not just a throw-away detail, maybe. It may become a vital bit of information. Kewl!!!!

I'm becoming convinced that there are darned few unimportant, throw-away details in the Professors' history lessons ...

Re: Expressions can be so unclear...

(Chuckles) And people kept thinking I was doing "epileptic trees" with my canon-ransacking. I SAID it all tied together, I said it, I said it, I did-did-did-did-did!!!!!!

Chekhov's gonna have to open a Big Box store to unload his arsenal after this series.

vonzinzer boom

At one point I tried to make a list of all the Chekhov's guns, howitzers, land mines, and bullets that were thus-far unused in the comic. I think I gave up at about fifty or so ...

vonzinzer ah-

Good catch! That's two pages in a row where Boris has seemed to be putting two and two together ...

Re: Expressions can be so unclear...

And Boris now has serious ties to the Jaegers, no matter how rough and ready their relationship. He's going to be in a position to act as an information conduit, and in a position to seek out information if he begins to doubt.

Why Klauss is accusing Gil ou load and so insisting

Let's bring together some "obvious facts" i've been given in previos post coments.

1. Everyone knows that sparks cann't be wasped that (for some strange easy-thunking) is making Klauss free from suspense.
2. Klauss cannot reveal being wasped exactly because of wasp (though that implies the spark-wasp HAVE the intellience enough to know what Klauss is thinking to do and suppress it on its own decision, without master nearbye - otherwise each time he'd have to be silenced by one more explicit command voice each and every attempt to tell truth)
3. Klauss is free to accuse Gil of everything to make the team not believe Gil and to make Gil weaker against wasp master.

Now, by using it Klauss keeps black-painting Gil time and again in front of everyone... why ?
Why if not for the reason to tell everyone "rules changed and sparks can be wasped and i Klauss can be wasped too" ?

That's an interesting idea, I like it.

vonzinzer hmm2

He's more the aloof/stiff upper lip type.

Ah, but remember when he watched Gil call down the lightning? He can be emotional about Gil.

Re: Expressions can be so unclear...

Yesss, but I don't see it coming out as melodrama. The whole hand over the face and self-blame isn't like the resolute Baron we've seen in the past. This is a man who knows you have to take risks, who tests Gil to his limits to find his mettle and let Gil also know his mettle. To wail over taking a risk? I find it uncharacteristic.
