<3 Thank you, everyone who attended SakuraCon--it was fun, as always, and the cosplay was amazing, as always!--Kaja <3
Okay, so then either it's a bad reaction to Tarvek's Wasp Repellent™, or else someone deliberately poisoned Bang to keep her quiet ...
Ooh. Good idea!
So you're saying that Klaus is actively resisting Lunevka's schemes?
Ooo ... You're devious! I *LIKE* devious!
Boris is going to find this story increasingly fishy...Boris is a construct. Is he waspable?Klaus is a construct. Apparently a Spark Wasp can control a construct, but can an ordinary wasp infect a construct? I thought we'd been told that constructs and Jägers were immune ... Complications upon complications!Edited at 2012-04-09 07:13 am (UTC)
FYI, I did get some what confirmation that constructs can't be wasped from the Foglios themselves. However, it was stated in a way that it could be questioniable. Basically, they stated that it is commonly known that Sparks, Jaegers, and constructs are immune to the slaver wasps. However, since Sparks can be wasped now, how can we be certain if the Order created wasps that can get over those hurtles too? How do we know that the Jaegers are all safe from control as well? Things could get very messy indeed.
so what? if i would controll you, why would i stop you from yelling on me, if it suits my plan ?
I <3 this fandom. Where else could you glibly use a word like "waspable"? =D
We've been told Jaegers are immune. I recall no indication that any other type of construct is.
I don't think Bang is running loose, I think she's loyal to the Baron and experiencing side effects of the treatment. She knocked Gil out and delivered him to the Baron -- we'd need a lot more to go on to attribute any non-loyal motivations to her at this point.Furthermore, I don't expect them to try to wasp Bang or Gil in the immediate future. Bang's immunity will be important, but not *immediately*. The reason for this is that, last we knew, there are no slaver wasps on Castle Wulfenbach. The Baron would not allow it before getting wasted, and it's not like Lunevka had a big stash to drag around through the hospital. The same goes for spark wasps -- as far as we know, there aren't anymore yet, and may not be more in the near future. I believe the spark who developed the last one had a lab accident and got himself killed and his town overrun by the zombie-style revenants. So, I believe no systematic wasping attempts against the cast is imminent -- the Baron will handle this situation the way he handles everything else. By convincing everyone who is willing to listen that he's right, and plowing over everyone else.
If Bang is NOT running around loose and she really is "poisoned" by a side effect of the antidote, then the secrecy of Gil's labs may just be intact.
I'm concerned that Lucrezia would have the Baron work on reconstructing the Spark wasp. It would fit right into his particular gift, especially since he's been studying The Other's tech to find exploitable weaknesses.
Just as a side note, you said "wasted" where you clearly intended to say "wasped" and it created a whole cascade of amusing but incorrect images in my brain.
Your mentioning Lunevka not having a "big stash" got me thinking... I can't remember, but isn't she still hooked up to her "body" when people are around? Since we know that it has no purpose, just imagine the nasty things she could store in there, and no-one would ever think to search it.
Let's hope that Zoing can work marvels.
Of course he is! To the extent he can. However, it could also be that the cover story *is* one of Nearby Lu's schemes. I'm still not certain which Lu is running Klaus at the moment. For all I know, Bang has a Lu-in-Her (unlikely though, very unlikely, since she hasn't been near the Beacon engine since Lu fixed it).
Or to the extent that he's aware of them. I'm still not persuaded that Klaus knows he's being controlled by Lunevka, although it wouldn't surprise me if he does.
