Maybe. The castle could also be using the last of its reserves to animate this figure to tell the Doom Bell ringer that it is time to do his job. It did swear to see her recognized after all.
(And if it uses all of its energy, maybe it will come back as a yurt...)

The device doing the smashing in the last panel looks like it was in the background in the first panel. I think the professors give us a page or two like this every now and again so that we can all make sure to bow to Cheyenne more often. These are so much more readable colored.
It does appear that the castle now has vision and control in this room however. Yay!

While I enjoy Cheyenne's coloring, I do appreciate every now and then to see Phil's art in the raw. This page looks like the final draft before inking, so it is not very well defined. However, I find the page still very readable, which just shows how good Phil really is.

But of course. |

Isn't it the house of Heterodynes' seneschal and his family? They're important folk there. A pair of heavy duty, but fanciful clank guard is the least to be expected.
Vanamonde probably never saw them as anything but statues because he doesn't remember times when the Castle was fully functional. Or maybe because this fragment of the Castle had no need to talk with Carson and no one before Oublenmach was stupid enough to attack this house.

A position I suspect she's sought for some time! ;-)

That looks like one of Agathas dingbots... questions. More advanced for sure. Are we dealing with a time warp here? Have we seen anyone else make anything like her stuff ever?

It's much bigger than a dingbot. The spherical shape is simply to assist the integral CAD* process. * Cannon Assisted Delivery. |

Sure looks like Der Kestle is back on line to me! Yay, Moloch! Yay, Agatha! Yay, Mechanicsburg!

Is it just me, or did the sphere remind anyone of a very large personality node at first?
Now there's a thought: Der Kastle meets GlaDOS! I think those two would have a lot to talk about....
In any case, it looks like Der Kastle has, at the very least, gotten more of its connections to the town's defensive systems back on line, at just in the nick of time!

THis is awesome to see a pre-inked page. Hats off to the professors, even if they are con-lagged to pull through with a new page

I'm surprised the colored version is taking so long to arrive. It's been almost a whole day since the B&W was posted.

I seem to recall seeing that suit of armor standing in the background on the previous page...
I think it's fun to see the B&W versions. Gives me a feeling of being in at the creation of the page.
